Project Activities:. Conduct of the National Baseline Assessment (NBA) on Business and Human Rights which included the following activities:
- Drafting of research and recommendations for the national action plan on business and human rights;
- Examination of international instruments, UN resolutions and guidelines in terms of business and human rights;
- Examination of international conventions, resolutions and guidelines of UN and World Labor Organization;
- Analyses of domestic legislation and policy related to labor rights, identification of gaps and submission of findings;
- Analyses of labor related legal standards and supervision mechanisms;
- Meetings with different state agencies, local self-government and business representatives and collection of data about business and human rights in Georgia.
The National Baseline Assessment (NBA) on Business and Human Rights was undertaken by the Human Rights Secretariat of the Government of Georgia, the Public Defender (Ombudsman) of Georgia, and the Civil Development Agency (CiDA). The NBA was published in December 2017.
