Project activities:
The Public Defender's Center for Child's Rights monitored 44 small group homes within the project and evaluated the degree of implementation of the recommendations issued by the Public Defender in 2012. Monitoring was carried out to check the compliance with the standards of the international instruments and the national legislation. The Center for Child's Rights worked to raise public awareness about children’s small group homes. The project also assisted the Public Defender to implement the function of the national preventive mechanism. The Center for Child's Rights studied cases of individual and systemic violations of child’s rights and sent recommendations and proposals to relevant agencies. A special report was issued about the monitoring of small group homes after the completion of the project.
