On October 10-11, 2023, employees of the Public Defender’s Office were trained on legal writing. The training was led by expert Tamar Tomashvili.

The expert presented the methods of legal writing (e.g. IRAC and CREAC) and talked about the mechanisms of their use in the process of drawing up legal documents.

Employees of the Public Defender’s Office, in thematic groups, discussed the technique of drawing up annual and special reports, constitutional lawsuits, amicus curiae briefs and recommendations in accordance with the expert's recommendations and comments.

The event was held within the framework of the USAID-PDO partnership programme of the grant agreement between the Public Defender’s Office and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
