On December 22, 2022, representatives of the Public Defender’s Office of Georgia, Sophia Rusetski and Mariam Ghvidiani, participated in an event dedicated to the international Human Rights Day, which was organized by the civic club of the public school of the village of Gantiadi of Tsalki municipality. The event was also attended by school students and teachers of Arcevani, Sakdrioni and Akhalsheni villages.

At the event, school students presented a sketch and gave presentations on the topic of early marriage and domestic violence; discussed the services available to victims of violence against women and domestic violence, as well as reasons for early marriage and relevant legislative regulations. The representatives of the Public Defender spoke about the mandate of the Public Defender and the work specifics of the Public Defender‘s Office in the field of gender equality.

The meeting participants expressed their satisfaction with the information received and gave certificates of gratitude to the representatives of the Public Defender's Office for their active cooperation.
