On 26 July 2019, Public Defender Nino Lomjaria and Deputy Public Defender Giorgi Burjanadze met with representatives of the United National Movement - Grigol Vashadze and Tina Bokuchava.

The night of June 20-21 and the following events, as well as the role of the Public Defender in the process, were discussed at the meeting.

As the Public Defender told journalists after the meeting, Grigol Vashadze introduced his views on the ongoing developments and urged the Public Defender to pay special attention to the case of 11 citizens who were charged under Article 225 (2) (Participation in group violence) of the Criminal Code of Georgia and are currently in the pre-trial detention.

Nino Lomjaria reiterated her active involvement in the process and noted that the Public Defender's Office would follow the objective and fair development of the processes.
