On October 23, 2024, Levan Ioseliani, Public Defender of Georgia, and Tamar Gvaramadze, First Deputy Public Defender, met with Pascal Alizard, OSCE Special Coordinator, Pia Kauma, President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, and other members of the delegation.

The state of human rights protection in Georgia during the pre-election period, opportunities for observation on the election day and coordinated actions in case of violations were discussed at the meeting.

The Public Defender introduced the mandate of the Office to the members of the delegation regarding the supervisory function during the elections, talked about the human rights violations that have been detected in the context of the elections and the relevant response mechanisms.
