On June 11, 2025, Ana Kvachadze, Acting Head of the Equality Department of the Public Defender's Office, participated in a conference organized by the European Network of Equality Bodies (EQUINET) - "25 Years of Equality: Milestones, Challenges and Horizons".

New directives adopted by the European Union were presented, challenges, threats and barriers facing equality bodies, as well as solutions, and strategies that are needed to strengthen anti-discrimination efforts in the coming years were discussed at the conference.

The conference was attended by representatives of EU agencies, Council of Europe, national equality bodies, civil society and researchers who are actively working in the field of equality and non-discrimination, and its aim was to share practices to build a strong and inclusive future.
