Public Defender's Statement on Tragedy Caused by Natural Disaster in Racha Region

Public Defender Levan Ioseliani expresses his sorrow over the tragedy that occurred as a result of the natural disaster in the Racha region on August 3 and offers his sympathy to the family members and relatives of the deceased.

The Public Defender thanks every person involved in the rescue operation for their efforts and dedication, and hopes that as a result of their efforts, all the people who have been missing so far will return to their families safely.

Unfortunately, the lack of technical equipment needed to deal with such a crisis has once again become evident, which is directly related to the protection of the right to human life and health.

The Public Defender, within the framework of his mandate, will study the incident and the issues of the realization of the human right to live in a safe environment.
