Public Defender of Georgia Levan Ioseliani condemns the assault on Misha Mshvildadze and calls on the Prosecutor's Office of Georgia to transfer the case from the Ministry of Internal Affairs to the Special Investigation Service for further investigation in order to determine whether there was any violent persecution for expressing an opinion.

The Public Defender calls on the investigative agency to take appropriate steps to identify responsible persons; quickly and fully conduct all investigative and procedural actions, obtain video recordings, interview witnesses, conduct medical examination, etc.
