Employee of Public Defender’s Office Awarded Order of Honor
On December 10, 2023, on the Human Rights Day, President Salome Zurabishvili awarded Ana Chubinidze, an employee of the Public Defender’s Office, the Order of Honor on the recommendation of the Public Defender Levan Ioseliani. The order was presented to Ana Chubinidze by Shalva Papuashvili, Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia.
From August 12, 1992, Ana Chubinidze had been working in the Committee for Human Rights and Interethnic Relations of the Republic of Georgia, which later, on May 16, 1996, after the adoption of the Organic Law of Georgia on the Public Defender of Georgia, was established as the Public Defender’s Office of Georgia. Thus, Ms. Ana has 31 years of work experience in the field of protection of human rights, and 27 years of work experience in the Public Defender’s Office of Georgia. With her personal involvement and participation, the rights of dozens of people have been restored.
