On September 26, 2024, Public Defender of Georgia Levan Ioseliani held the opening event of the new building of the Adjara regional office. The event was attended by the Chairman of the Government of Adjara, as well as representatives of various state institutions and non-governmental organizations operating in the region.

"A new building was given to us by the Government of Adjara, and from today the citizens of Georgia will have the opportunity to reach the Public Defender about violations of human rights and receive legal advice in a comfortable environment," said Levan Ioseliani.

At the opening event, Tornike Rizhvadze, the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, congratulated the Public Defender’s Office on the new building and wished him success in his future activities.

At this stage, Public Defender's regional offices are located in 9 cities. The new office of the Adjara region is located on 1a Pirosmani Street in Batumi.
