Public Defender Meets with Ambassador of France
On January 9, 2020, Public Defender of Georgia Nino Lomjaria held an introductory meeting with the Ambassador of France to Georgia, Diego Colas.
The Public Defender briefed the French Ambassador on her mandate, the human rights situation in the country and the details of cooperation with the NGO sector.
The French Ambassador showed interest in the socio-economic problems and the involvement of the Public Defender's Office in this regard.
The diplomat also discussed the pre-election period, current challenges and environment ahead of the upcoming elections.
The meeting was also attended by First Deputy Public Defender Tamar Gvaramadze and Deputy Public Defender Giorgi Burjanadze.
