On April 29, 2025, Levan Ioseliani, Public Defender of Georgia, and Tamar Gvaramadze, First Deputy Public Defender, met with Didier Trebucq, UN Resident Coordinator in Georgia, and Gwi Yeop Son, Regional Director of the UN Development Coordination Office (DCO) in Europe and Central Asia.

The parties discussed the human rights situation in Georgia, recent legislative changes, and the role of the Public Defender's institution in the ongoing processes, as well as the issues of cooperation between the Public Defender's Office of Georgia and UN structures.

The meeting was also attended by Fioralba Shkodra, Sustainable Development/UNSDCF Partnership and Programme Officer at the UNDCO Regional Office in Europe and Central Asia, and Anna Platonova, HeadofUNRCOOffice.
