Ombudsmen of Georgia and Turkey Discuss Continuation of Tradition of Multiyear Cooperation
On September 28, 2022, the Public Defender of Georgia, Nino Lomjaria, and the Chief Ombudsman of Turkey, Şeref Malkoç, held a bilateral meeting, during which they emphasized the need to continue the long-term cooperation between the offices of the ombudsmen of Georgia and Turkey.
In addition, the parties talked about the ongoing projects and planned activities of their institutions, as well as the issues of joint cooperation in terms of protecting the human rights of Georgians living in Turkey and Turkish citizens living in Georgia. They also talked about the issues of large diaspora of Georgians in Turkey and discussed successful examples of cooperation in this direction.
