Public Defender Meets with New Head of the Council of Europe Office in Georgia
On 30 September 2015 Public Defender Ucha Nanuashvili and Deputy Public Defenders Paata Beltadze and Natia Katsitadze met with new Head of the Council of Europe Office in Georgia Cristian URSE. Ucha Nanuashvili reviewed the situation of human rights and freedoms in Georgia, as well as the activities of the Public Defender's Office and positive practice of cooperation with various structures of the Council of Europe.
The sides discussed the projects that have been carried out in the Public Defender's Office by the funding and support from the Council of Europe for many years, as well as the necessity and prospects for strengthening future cooperation.
