On 1 July 2019 Public Defender Nino Lomjaria, Deputy Public Defender Giorgi Burjanadze and representatives of the Public Defender's Office met with members of the monitoring team of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR).

Following the Public Defender's appeal, the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights is observing the process of selection of judges in the Supreme Court of Georgia. The team members discussed the monitoring methodology and mandate in general, while the Public Defender provided the guests with information available to her.

The Public Defender and the monitoring team members agreed on future cooperation.
