Public Defender Holds Official Meetings in Washington
On September 11-14, 2023, Public Defender of Georgia Levan Ioseliani is paying an official visit to the United States of America. The Public Defender is holding meetings in Washington.
Meetings will be held at the US Department of State, including with senior officials of the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL), as well as the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) and the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice.
A meeting is also scheduled in the White House with the DirectorforSouthern EuropeandSouth Caucasus at the National Security Council.
In addition, the Public Defender will meet with the President of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED); directors for Eurasian region and other representatives of International Republican Institute (IRI), National Democratic Institute (NDI) and Freedom House. A meeting with a representative of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) is also scheduled.
At the end of the visit, Levan Ioseliani will meet with representatives of the Georgian diaspora living in Washington.
