Public Defender Meets with Ambassador of Israel
On February 13, 2020, Public Defender Nino Lomjaria and First Deputy Public Defender Tamar Gvaramadze met with Israeli Ambassador to Georgia Ran Gidor.
The newly appointed Israeli Ambassador received information about the mandate and activities of the Public Defender. The prospects of cooperation in the direction of protection of the rights of Georgian and Israeli citizens were discussed.
Human rights situation in Georgia, the rule of law, issues of justice and law enforcement system were also the themes of discussion.
Ambassador Ran Gidor has been performing duties in Georgia for several weeks now and his visit to the Public Defender’s Office was of introductory nature.
