The Public Defender’s Office has drawn up Newsletter on Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: The Important Role of NHRIs, Regional and International Organizations.

The newsletter covers information about the work of ENNHRI CRPD WG members and observers in the field of the rights of persons with disabilities and summarizes the work of the relevant international and regional networks/organizations.

The document is the second issue of the newsletter and introduces a new section “Resources”, which contains information about useful materials, policy documents, reports, events, guidelines and other issues relating to persons with disabilities.

The newsletter was drawn up within the framework of ENNHRI CRPD WG, which is currently chaired by the Deputy Public Defender of Georgia, Ekaterine Skhiladze.

The Public Defender’s Office would like to thank the United Nations Development Programme for its technical support in preparing the newsletter and the Georgian Down Syndrome Association for the provision of photos.
