On April 13, 2018, the Consultative Councilfor Monitoring the Implementation, Protection and Promotion of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities held its 14^th meeting. The meeting was attended by Deputy Public Defender of Georgia Ekaterine Skhiladze, representatives of the Public Defender’s Office and visiting members of the Council.

At the meeting, the Head of the Department of Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities presented information about the implemented and planned activities aimed at protecting and monitoring the rights of persons with disabilities; the visiting members of the Council spoke about the topical issues of the agenda.

A discussion was held about the rights situation of persons with disabilities and implementation of the UN Convention. The next session of the Council will be held within the next 2 months.
