Study Visit of the Tajik Delegation
On November 13, 2018, a delegation from the Republic of Tajikistan paid a study visit to the Public Defender's Office of Georgia. Members of the delegation were the Deputy Head of the State Protection of Civil and Political Rights of the Republic of Tajikistan, executive director of a public organization working on civil rights and representatives of the Committee of Internal Affairs, Border Protection and Security.
The members of the delegation expressed interest in the specifics of protection of human rights in the field of defense in Georgia, the existing approaches and work characteristics, as well as local challenges and solutions.
Information was provided to the Tajik delegation by Tamar Gabiani, Head of the Public Defender's Department of Human Rights in Defense, and Nika Kvaratskhelia, Head of the Department of Prevention and Monitoring. The parties agreed on future cooperation.
