On January 31, 2023, Ketevan Sokhadze, acting Head of the Department of the Rights of the Child at the Public Defender’s Office, participated in the meeting of the Bureau of the European Network of Ombudsmen for Children in Strasbourg, France, as one of the members.

The 2023 work plan and priorities of the European Network of Ombudsmen for Children were discussed at the Bureau meeting. A meeting was also held with the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe, where the following important issues were discussed: segregation in schools and the rights of ethnically Roma children, importance of sex education, children's participation and youth activism, impact of artificial intelligence on children's rights and other topical issues.

Within the framework of the visit, meetings were held with representatives of the European Committee of Social Rights of the Council of Europe, the Head of the Children's Rights Division and the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe on Migration and Refugees.
