On 27 March 2019, Georgia's Public Defender Nino Lomjaria was awarded at the Annual Conference on Women's Role in Economic Growth and Development of Reforms as Woman Leader of the Year in Government.

Nino Lomjaria has been selected by a special committee, members of which are representatives of 70 research and non-governmental organizations supporting business.

Women leaders in the field of business, government and non-governmental sector shared their stories of success, stimulus and inspiration with the audience of the conference.

The event was jointly organized by the Governing for Growth in Georgia (G4G) project of the United States Agency for International Development Agency and the Women Business Council in Georgia (WBCG) with the support of the European Bank of Development and Reconstruction, Tbilisi City Hall and Bank of Georgia.
