National Basic Research on Business and Human Rights

The Administration of the Government of Georgia has prepared a national basic study on business and human rights in cooperation with the Public Defender’s Office of Georgia and CiDA - a non-governmental organization, in consultation with experts of the Danish Institute for Human Rights.

The study covers a variety of issues related to business and human rights, and analysis of both law and practice. It should be noted that the findings of this very study served as the basis for a three-year action plan on business and human rights, which became part of the Government's action plan on human rights. The document also deals with labour rights, environmental issues, fight against corruption, protection of personal data, rights of vulnerable groups and fight against discrimination, property law, effectiveness of damage compensation mechanisms and other issues.
