Public Defender Wishes You Happy Independence Day

The Constituent Assembly of Georgia declared independence on May 26, 1918. One of the main provisions written in the Independence Act concerned human rights:

"The Democratic Republic of Georgia shall ensure the protection of civil and political rights of all citizens within its borders, regardless of their nationality or gender, on an equal basis."

The independence and sovereignty of our state are based on human rights and we make our country stronger by protecting these rights!
