Special Report On Monitoring Of Small Family Type Houses

In February and November of 2014, the Special Preventive Group of the Public Defenderof Georgia, in the framework of the National Preventive Mechanism, and together with the Centre of Child’s Rights conducted monitoring in 44 small family type houses (afte ras SFTH). Namely, in Tbilisi (13 SFTHs), Rustavi (2 SFTHs), Dusheti (1 SFTH), Akhmeta (1SFTH), Telavi (3 SFTHs), Mtskheta (2 SFTHs), Khashuri (4 SFTHs), Gori (1 SFTH), Kaspi (1 SFTH), Gardabani (1 SFTH), Lagodekhi (1 SFTH), Sachkhere (Bajiti village, 1SFTH), Ambrolauri (1 SFTH), Kutaisi (3 SFTH), Khoni (1 SFTH), Chkhorotsku (1 SFTH), Tsalenjikha (2 SFTHs), Batumi (1SFTH), Ozurgeti (1SFTH), Lanchkhuti (1SFTH) and Zestafoni (1SFTH).

At the next stage of the monitoring results were summarized, technical reports were drawn up and based on the latter, presented report and relevant recommendations was prepared. In addition, the results of the monitoring will be reflected in the Parliamentary report.
