The Public Defender's Parliamentary Secretary is in charge of providing communication between the Parliament and the Public Defender in order to ensure Public Defender's engagement in the legislative process; periodically reviews and analyzes the draft laws submitted to the Public Defender's Office and prepares legal reports; develops draft legislative proposals and amendments for ensuring reflection of Public Defender’s recommendations in the legislation and for improving the state of human rights and freedoms; participates in discussions of bills in the Parliament and other agencies/working groups and presents positions and opinions of the Public Defender;
